| Ancient Art Massage & Bodywork was founded in 2006 by Jai Michael Barry, LMT. A Nationally-Certified Healthcare Practitioner with NCBTMB, Jai intitiated his formal massage therapy training at the Central Florida School of Massage Therapy in 2004, training under nationally-recognized sports therapists Mike McGillicuddy and Monica Reno. He has been studying bodyenergy and mindfulness styles & philosophies through workshops and retreats since the late 70's, including Upledger Craniosacral Therapies, A Course In Miracles, Master's Touch Conscious Communication, The Four Agreements, Conversations with God, over 12 years of 12 Step work, and is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor as well as a certified Qigong Instructor. He is the proud father of 2 amazing children, Dustin 23, and Carly 20, who both have plans the enter the healthcare field as well. He is an award-winning singer-songwriter with 3 CDs to his credit (visit www.michaelbarrymusic.net), has produced and performed in several concert events to benefit needy and medically- challenged children, and has donated original music to benefit Children's Miracle Network, Give Kids the World, and hospice. Jai is deeply committed to his spiritual practice, his children, and to his life-partner, Rev. Francesca Dowd, also a Massage Therpist, powerful energy worker, and Interfaith Minister. Together they co-create peace, harmony, and the vision that each of us be complete, whole, and well. He has attended many workshops, retreats, & conferences regarding his own growth and development, and attributes much of his personal transformation to his involvement in his community, his willingness to give freely, and his commitment to surrounding himself with people of like-mind.
